Anthony Martial has quashed rumours suggesting there is a rivalry between himself and Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford.

The Frenchman insists that he is delighted to have a "great connection" with England forward Rashford and believes it's an advantage for United.

Martial finished last term as the Red Devils' top goalscorer with 23 goals - one more than Rashford as both players found the net more than 20 times for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United this season.

When quizzed whether there is a rivalry between himself and Rashford, Martial told Inside United magazine: "Not especially. We just try to help each other out.

"With Marcus, I think that we've been playing together for five seasons now and so, yes, we have that good understanding. It's a real positive for us that we have this great connection."
