Antonio Conte has backed Chelsea manager Frank Lampard 'to become one of the best managers in the world'.
Antonio Conte says Frank Lampard has the attributes 'to become one of the best managers in the world' and also backs N’Golo Kante’s current position for Chelsea. The former England midfielder Lampard replaced Maurizio Sarri last summer at the Stamford Bridge helm and led his young Blues to fourth spot in the Premier League table before football came to the standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic. "I think he is doing a really good job, Frank," Conte, who led Chelsea to Premier League glory in 2017, told Sky Sports.
More: Manchester United have been told to keep Paul Pogba. "This is his second experience [as a manager] after Derby County and to manage a top team is not easy. "I think he has the skills, the ability to become one of the best managers in the world. He has to continue to work in this way and I wish him the best for the future."
On N’Golo Kante playing in a more advanced midfield role under Lamard for the west London club, the Inter Milan coach said: "In my opinion, he can play in every position in the midfield. "We are talking about an amazing player, a top player. He is fantastic with or without the ball and, when you have N'Golo in your team, you can think that you are playing with one player more. "He is one of the best players I have had in my career as a coach."
