Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin: We have a chance to win the FA Cup.

Updated: Jan 28, 2020

Bellerin would love win the FA Cup for the third time at Arsenal.

Hector Bellerin is hoping Arsenal can achieve "great things" under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are keen to build on their brilliant display at Chelsea when they face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in the FA Cup fourth round on Monday.

The right-back, who secured a late leveller in his first game back after a month out through injury, is hoping they can win the FA Cup again under new boss Arteta this season as he reckons the more games they play, the more they can improve.

“The more games we play, the more we can improve, the more experience for the younger players and the older players,” said Bellerin, who has won two FA Cup trophies with Arsenal.

“And, right now, with the change of Mikel as a coach, every single game is an opportunity to learn and to adapt ourselves to the new way of playing.

“So, taking us through to the next round doesn’t only take us closer to the trophy, but it will also make us better players.

“Of course, at Arsenal , every single trophy is silverware you have to fight for.

“And the FA Cup is close to my heart personally, but also the club’s – it is a competition every Arsenal fan wants to win every season and we have a chance to do so this year.”

The match at Dean Court on Monday evening will be the first ever FA Cup clash between The Cherries and The Gunners, and the only 12th meeting overall between both teams.
