Arsenal's Jurrien Timber Bemoans Missed Chances vs Inter Milan

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber voiced his disappointment after the Gunners fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Inter Milan at the San Siro in a frustrating Champions League clash. The decisive moment came in first-half stoppage time when Inter converted a penalty—remarkably, their only shot on target in the game.

“It’s very tough,” Timber said post-match. “Very frustrating for us. I think we played a good game, we dominated a lot, but we didn’t score. In the Champions League, you have to score if you want to win. It’s a tough away game, and small moments can decide a game.”

Despite having nearly twice as much possession and racking up 20 attempts on goal, Arsenal couldn’t find a way past Inter’s defence, making them the latest side unable to score against the Italians in Europe this season. Timber acknowledged the challenge but stressed that Arsenal’s performance deserved more.

Reflecting on the team’s approach to bouncing back, Timber added: “At the end, we felt confident. We’ve had a couple of tough matches, and Sunday will be tough again, but I believe in our squad. We have a lot of quality, just need a little bit of luck in scoring more goals.”

With Arsenal’s unbeaten run in Europe now broken, Timber and his teammates are keen to refocus as they prepare for a Premier League showdown with Chelsea on Sunday, determined to turn their luck around.
