Broja’s message to Chelsea fans and teammates after win over Wolves.

Updated: Oct 9, 2022

The 3-0 win over Wolves is Graham Potter's first home Premier League victory as Chelsea boss.

Armando Broja welcomes the competition at Chelsea FC as he looks to secure more game time.

Striker Armando Broja has thanked his Chelsea teammates and fans for their support after scoring his first goal for the west London club on Saturday.

The 21-year-old registered the third goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers as the Blues wrapped up a comfortable 3-0 win over the West Midlands club at Stamford Bridge.

Kai Havertz broke the deadlock at the stroke of half-time after the hosts wasted several chances earlier.

Then Christian Pulisic doubled the lead as he played a one-two with midfielder Mason Mount before calmly chipping the ball over Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.

And, during extra time, Armando Broja ensured Graham Potter’s side secured all three points with his superb low strike that hit the side post before going into the bottom corner of the net.

Broja 'It's unreal, it's surreal'

Following the victory over Wolves, the Chelsea prodigy Broja said: "It's always a wait when they check for a possible offside. I was keeping my fingers crossed but I thought I had timed my run well.

"Thanks to the fans for the support. It’s unreal, I’ve been waiting for my first goal. It's a surreal moment. I can't put it into words. Onto Tuesday now. It was a good performance.

"Everyone knows at one of the biggest clubs in the world there will be competition. It helps us all develop as players. We have a big squad, everyone is needed at all times."
