Cristiano Ronaldo replaced Anthony Martial in the 29th minute and scored Man United's winning goal - his 700th club goal - 15 minutes later.
Bruno Fernandes praised Manchester United’s togetherness after they came from behind to secure three points against Frank Lampard’s Everton on Sunday.
The Red Devils were taken aback when Alex Iwobi capitalised on midfielder Casemiro’s mistake and fired home in the 5th minute, sending the Goodison Park crowd into ecstasy.
But 10 minutes later, United found the equaliser through summer signing Antony. The Brazilian winger ran onto Anthony Martial’s pass and put the ball past goalkeeper Jordan Pickford with an ice-cool finish.
Cristiano Ronaldo replaced the injured Martial in the 29th minute and just before half-time, the Portuguese reminded fans that he can still perform on the big stage as he finished off Casemiro’s through ball with a low strike from his left foot, making it his 700th club goal.
Ronaldo's goal was enough for United to seal three points and return to winning ways after the Manchester derby mauling last weekend at the Etihad.
'It seems like every week Ronaldo gets a record.'
United midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes told BT Sport after the win on Sunday evening: "We defended really well. This is what it is about, togetherness and make the best for the team.
"We conceded a goal from nothing but we played really well in the first half. In the last 20 minutes of the second half we could do a bit better but good to get back on the winning track.
"We want to show this spirit and togetherness, this is what made us win four games in a row and get this win."
When asked of his thoughts on Ronaldo scoring his 700th club goal, Bruno replied: "It is tough still counting goals for Ronaldo because every week seems like a new record.
"Really happy because he has been working hard to get this goal. Today he got the goal and the win and that is the most important for him, that the team won."
The win over the Toffees means Man United have become the first side to win 100 Premier League games in which they conceded the first goal.
