Lampard is being careful with Pulisic as the former Borussia Dortmund winger works his way back from injury.
Christian Pulisic is hungry to get back on the pitch for Chelsea FC.
Frank Lampard says Christian Pulisic won't be available for selection tomorrow as the Blues boss prepares his side for their Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The American has been on the sidelines since sustaining an injury in the FA Cup final last season but is currently edging closer to full fitness.
Speaking ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash against the Baggies at the Hawthornes, Lampard admitted that he is trying not to rush Pulisic back too soon.
“There is always concerns when there is a history with fitness. You have to make sure you don't overcook him," the Englishman said on Friday afternoon.
"There is a fine line, but he is hungry to play. It's something we have to manage with him. We want to get as many minutes of the great Christian we saw last season."
On summer signing Hakim Ziyech, he said: ‘Hakim Ziyech is not ready for the squad tomorrow,’ but is expecting him to return to action 'over the next week or two.’
The Blues travel to the Hawthornes as they look to bounce back to winning ways in the English top flight following their 2-0 loss to Premier League champions Liverpool.
