Chelsea boss Graham Potter wants more from Raheem Sterling.

Sterling had a successful and trophy-laden seven-season spell at Man City

Sterling is set to face his former side on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.

Graham Potter says Raheem Sterling's debut campaign at Chelsea FC has been quite "challenging" but expects the England forward to turn his form around.

Sterling, who joined Chelsea from Man City for a reported £50million deal last summer, has come under scrutiny recently despite scoring and assisting more goals (9) than any other player at the west London club so far this season.

"It's been a challenge for him, I think. But it's been a challenging period for everybody," Potter told reporters ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash against Manchester City. "There has been a lot of change here and a lot of things have happened.

"In that regard, it's never easy to completely settle and completely hit the ground running. There's more to come from Raheem, I'm sure, but he gives his best every day. We need to help him get to the level that we know we can get to."

Sterling [28] scored 91 goals in 225 Premier League appearances for City, who are currently eight points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.
