Chelsea forward Pulisic can't wait to play alongside Timo Werner at Stamford Bridge.

It is believed Werner will seal a move from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig to Chelsea for a reported fee of £47.5million (€53m) deal.

Christian Pulisic is looking forward to playing alongside RB Leipzig star Timo Werner next season, saying that Chelsea have done an "incredible" business by signing the German.

The Blues confirmed last week that they have secured the signature of the Germany international Werner, who has scored 26 goals in 32 Bundesliga games and was a reported target for Premier League leaders Liverpool.

"We already have a very strong team and obviously very good players," the 21-year-old told Sky Sports after the Blues' 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

"To add guys like [Werner] is incredible. We're obviously focused on this season for now but we're also very excited for what's to come."

Pulisic, who moved from the Signal Iduna Park to Stamford Bridge last year, was out of action due to a groin problem but the coronavirus-enforced break gave the former Dortmund star enough time to recover, and he marked his return by finding the net five minutes after coming off the bench.

"I've definitely been out for a while, felt really nice to be back out here, especially for me after the injury," he added.

"Obviously all the guys have been off, but we've been trying to stay fit as best we can and now we've got to get back into the rhythm of things.
