Premier League great Didier Drogba has urged Salah to make a “selfish" decision to leave Liverpool and re-join west London side Chelsea.

Salah and the Merseyside club have been trying to strike a deal for almost a year but both parties are yet to come to an agreement.

Liverpool are obviously eager to keep the 29-year-old at the club, but as talks continue to rumble on, and we are yet to see any advancement at Anfield.

When ex-Chelsea striker Drogba was asked for his opinion on the Salah situation, the -year-old told Al-Axis TV: "If I am selfish, I will tell Salah to leave Liverpool and return to Chelsea.

"My opinion is that Salah will remain the best, no matter if he continues at Liverpool or if he moves.

"Any other team would perform better [with him] because he understands what he is doing, is good at scoring and creating goals, and only needs the confidence of the coach.

"I do not know what his decision would be. This is his decision alone and his future, but wherever he goes, I will be one of his fans."
