Colwill Praises Moises Caicedo's Reliability and Skill Amidst Chelsea's Midfield Reshuffle

Levi Colwill Hails Moises Caicedo's Integral Role in Chelsea's Midfield Triumph

Levi Colwill has expressed admiration for fellow midfielder Moises Caicedo, labelling the Ecuadorian player as someone Chelsea FC can unquestionably count on. Having shared the pitch at Brighton during the previous season, the duo now finds themselves as teammates at Stamford Bridge after the club's vigorous transfer activities over the summer.

Their dynamic partnership was rekindled on Friday night as they played a pivotal role in Chelsea's commanding victory over Luton. However, Colwill, who has had firsthand experience playing alongside Caicedo, articulated his deep-seated trust in the Ecuadorian's abilities.

Reflecting on their time together, Colwill remarked as Chelseafc.com reported: "Playing with him last season, you just rely on him. Even when I know I have made a mistake, I have always known he is there to cover me in midfield." Despite his errors, Colwill emphasised that Caicedo consistently stepped up to salvage the situation, often turning poor passes into successful plays.

"I think anyone that watched him last season knows how good a player he is," Colwill attested. He went on to assert his belief that the investment made in Caicedo was justified, stating: "In my opinion, he is worth every pound that was spent on him. I think he is going to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and the world. I don't doubt that.

"He is a very good player, and him in this team alongside the other amazing players we have got, it is going to work well. I am happy he is here."

The resounding endorsement from Colwill underscores the immense potential and impact Moises Caicedo is poised to bring to Chelsea's midfield, solidifying his status as a key asset in the club's pursuit of success.
