Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel has heaped praise on Jadon Sancho, saying the England international is one of the best players of his generation.
The 20-year-old continued his fine form in Dortmund's 6-1 victory over Paderborn on Sunday by scoring a hat-trick and marked his first goal on the day by revealing a t-shirt in tribute to George Floyd, who died while in police custody in the United States on Monday.
"I think he's one of the best of his generation," said Witsel.
"He still has a lot to improve, to progress, because he is really young.
"But I'm sure in his position, as a winger, he will be one of the best."
Sancho is the first English player to register at least 15 goals and the same number of assists in a single season in one of Europe's top five leagues since Matt Le Tissier, who did the same while playing for Southampton in the Premier League back in 1995.
The England winger has been constantly linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park, with Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation with the Black and Yellow.
