Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed Willian and Mateo Kovacic have both suffered Achilles injuries.
The Brazil winger and Croatia midfielder both sustained Achilles injuries in the Blues' 2-0 win against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Former Real Madrid star Kovacic was replaced by Mason Mount in the 42nd minute as he limped off the pitch. And, Willian, who broke the deadlock on the night, was replaced by Jorginho six minutes into the second-half.
"Both have got an Achilles’ issue," a delighted Lampard said after the match.
"Willian hopefully is not too bad, that is what he is reporting there so we will see how he is tomorrow. Kovacic’s feels slightly worse. Hopefully not too drastic, so we’ll see."
