Diego Milito is convinced Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has the quality to play alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona. Milito was appointed as the technical secretary at Racing Club in December 2017, a few months before Martinez left for the Italian giants Inter. Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp after scoring 16 goals in 31 games across all competitions for the Nerazzurri before COVID-19 brought the 2019-20 Serie A campaign to a standstill. However, former Inter striker Milito, who was part of the treble-winning side of 2009-10 under Jose Mourinho at the San Siro, believes Martinez has the attributes to thrive at Barca. "He is not at Inter because of me, but because he is a great player," said in an interview with Movistar. "I think he's fine at Inter, but of course he has great conditions for Barca and playing with Messi. "He is a very complete player who is doing great at Inter.
