Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola showered praise on his team, the Cityzens, after their impressive 3-1 comeback victory against West Ham United on Sunday.

In the second half, goals from Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland orchestrated Man City's turnaround, erasing James Ward-Prowse's early lead for West Ham.

Guardiola's assessment of the game was glowing as he remarked while speaking to BBC MOTD: "All game we played a fantastic game. Even when we were losing against an incredible side at half-time, we were efficient, we were patient in the second half. It was a big win after the international break. The team showed good spirit to survive."

Reflecting on his return after back surgery, Guardiola humorously stated: "I'd prefer to be here than to do surgery, that's for sure."

The manager also had high praise for Jeremy Doku, saying: "He was a proper winger, had the ball, had the ability to go 1v1. Not only that, he has the quality to read when to make the pass for the next player. It was a very good performance from Jeremy."

On the prospect of the Champions League returning, Guardiola mentioned: "Now it's rest, Champions League - defending the crown. Game by game, now we start recovery, and everybody will be ready."

Meanwhile, Doku, who scored and played a pivotal role, shared his thoughts, saying, "We reacted well and kept on playing, and after that, we scored three goals and had a good game."

Regarding his first City goal, he added, "It meant a lot, especially after their goal because it came off me. I wanted to do something back, something good, and I helped the team, which I'm glad about."

Doku also commented on his battle with Hammers' defender Vladimir Coufal, saying, "I enjoyed it, I had a lot of 1v1's. The manager said to try this to bring a lot of players to me, and it worked. I enjoyed the game against him, of course." And on Guardiola's feedback, he humorously noted: "He said the first game I was a little bit shy but now no. As he said, I was a little bit less shy today."
