Hopeful Anticipation of Bernardo Silva’s Return

Pep Guardiola holds optimism regarding Bernardo Silva's potential return to the squad for Manchester City's upcoming clash against Sheffield United.

During the victorious 3-0 start against Burnley, the Portuguese talent showcased his skills throughout the entire match. Unfortunately, he had to sit out both the Super Cup victory against La Liga club Sevilla and their Premier League conquest against Newcastle United due to an injury.

Having been absent from just four Premier League matches in the previous season, Bernardo played a pivotal role in propelling us toward achieving the Treble.

Nonetheless, when inquired about the possibility of sidelined players making a comeback ahead of City’s Premier League match at Bramall Lane, Guardiola acknowledged the chance of the Portuguese midfielder's involvement.

“Hopefully Bernardo [will be back for Sheffield United],” said Guardiola as BBC Sport quoted. “Bernardo, I don’t know when he’s coming back, maybe tomorrow [Sunday]. The rest I don’t know.

“We maybe have one or two days rest now because it’s been so demanding since Arsenal and everything. We're going to try to train a little bit, our principles and concepts.”
