Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has confirmed there was an approach from Barcelona for forward Lautaro Martinez.
Barca have been heavily linked with a move for the Argentine in recent months but the Nerazzurri insist the striker is now "out of the market".
Reports during the COVID-19 lockdown claimed the Blaugrana saw Martinez as a long-term replacement for the veteran Luis Suarez.
But with the ongoing issues at the Camp Nou, it is safe to say a possible transfer for Lautaro is off the table.
"There was an approach for the player from Barcelona, but we never started a negotiation," Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia.
"There was a clause that was never triggered and from the day it expired we considered Lautaro out of the market."
The Serie A side are will to pay the right price for Barca's Arturo Vidal.
"We like Arturo Vidal for sure but he's a Barcelona player right now," he said. "If they'll let him go under the right conditions, we'll consider signing him."
