Jadon Sancho, the talented 24-year-old winger, is set to rejuvenate his career at Chelsea after sealing a loan move from Manchester United until the end of the season.
As part of the deal, Chelsea has committed to making the move permanent next summer for a fee ranging between £20-25 million.
Sancho’s £73 million move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United in July 2021 came with high expectations.
However, his journey at Old Trafford hasn’t gone as planned, with just 83 appearances over three full seasons. A well-publicised fallout with manager Erik ten Hag led to his exclusion from the first-team squad, forcing him to train alone.
After briefly returning to Dortmund on loan last January, Sancho found himself back at United over the summer but hasn’t featured in either of United’s Premier League games so far this season.
Once a regular for England, with 23 caps to his name, Sancho hasn’t been called up since 2021 and was notably absent from both the Euro 2024 and 2022 World Cup squads.
Now, at Stamford Bridge, he’ll be hoping to rediscover his form and catch the eye of the national selectors once more.
