Reports suggest that Man Utd are sorting out the final details of Rangnick's move to the Theatre of Dreams.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that "unfortunately a quality coach Ralf Rangnick is heading to Manchester United if both parties agree on a deal.
Liverpool's arch-rivals Man United are edging closer to securing the services of former Stuttgart, Hannover, Hoffenheim, Schalke, and RB Leipzig boss as interim manager on a six-month contract, which will eventually switch to a two-year consultancy at Old Trafford.
Klopp looked up to the 63-year-old and he reckons the Red Devils' house will be in order very soon.
"United will be organised on the pitch," Klopp told the media as BBC Sport reported. "That's not good news for other teams.
"He's a really good man and an outstanding coach," added Klopp. "He's a really experienced manager and famously built two clubs from nowhere to proper forces in Germany - Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
"He's done a lot of different jobs in football, but his first concern was always being a coach, being a manager, and that's what his best skill is."
Klopp continued: "Between the coaches and in the football world in Germany, he is very highly regarded and rightly so. Wherever he was, he did an incredible job.
"He started as a young man at Stuttgart, coaching the reserve team, and kept going from there. Ulm getting to the Bundesliga was insane at the time, and he made his way up.
"We faced each other for the first time when I was a young coach and he was at Hannover. He might have forgotten, but they always played our opponent a week later so he called me, the young manager of Mainz, and asked plenty of questions.
"I was happy big Ralf Rangnick was calling me, but he got all the information he needed. Then they got promoted (in 2002) and we didn't, so he still owes me!"
Rangnick is currently the manager of sports and development for Lokomotiv Moscow, however, Sky Sports claim Man Utd have agreed a deal with the Russian club to appoint him as interim manager.
