Klopp will be surprised if Liverpool bought Jadon Sancho from Dortmund this summer.
Jadon Sancho has been linked with a transfer to several Premier League clubs.
Jurgen Klopp says the Liverpool jersey “would suit” Jadon Sancho “very well” but doesn’t think “such a transfer will be possible this season”.
The England international has been constantly linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park, with Premier League champions Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all reportedly monitoring the winger’s situation at the Bundesliga club.
However, Klopp reckons the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic will prevent the Reds from securing Sancho’s signature this summer.
Sancho is valued in excess of £100m by the Bundesliga giants, and has two years left on his Dortmund contract, which he has no plans of extending.
"The red shirt [of Liverpool] would suit very well," Klopp said in an interview with German newspaper Bild. "I don't think such a transfer will be possible this season.
"He [Sancho] is a very interesting player. If he's coming to Liverpool I would be the most surprised of all of us."
