Pulisic sustained a minor injury during the warm-up session at Turf Moor over the weekend.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard admits he was pleased to learn Christian Pulisic's hamstring injury was "very minor" and he won't be out on the sidelines for too long.
The United States international sustained the injury during the warm-up session at Turf Moor ahead of the west London side's 3-0 Premier League victory against Burnley on Saturday.
It has been confirmed he won't be involved in the Blues' Champions League clash against Rennes on Wednesday evening, but, Lampard says he is satisfied with the fact a key member of his team will not be facing a long spell on the sidelines.
"Christian had a scan yesterday which showed a very minor injury to his hamstring," Lampard said in his press conference on Tuesday.
"He won't be fit for tomorrow, but we will see after that.
"It's obviously a relief for it to be on the small side. Christian made the right decision not to play in a game that could have made it worse. He's an important player for us.
"Some players who play on the edge and have speed could be more susceptible. We are looking at ways to manage Christian.
"We are all working in the same direction to try to get him to be match fit as regularly as possible. We know the talent."
