Ex-Barcelona striker Rivaldo is not convinced the LaLiga defending champions have to secure the services of Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez this summer. Martinez's partnership with Romelu Lukaku has helped make Antonio Conte's side title challengers in the Serie A. The Argentine has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri, with Barca reportedly monitoring his situation at the San Siro. However, Blaugrana great Rivaldo believes Quique Setien's side will be better off with the signing of Brazil ace Neymar.

"Lautaro isn't the solution at the present moment, Neymar would always be my priority to strengthen Barcelona," Rivaldo, who made 256 appearances for Barcelona, said as Marca reported. "I think they need to focus everything on bringing him back and rebuilding the dominant forward line they had in the past. "Barcelona should make a financial effort for Neymar now, especially with PSG seeming ready to accept realistic offers, such a signing wouldn't be risky." The Brazilian added: "He is just 22 years old and still needs to evolve. He needs to gain experience being a good player. "This could see him become a top footballer in the future."
