Leicester Vs Chelsea - Premier League Match Preview.

Leicester City host Champions League holders Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Saturday and the homeside will be looking to climb up the table following their below-par start to the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, with Thomas Tuchel’s Blues keen to return to winning ways.

Prior to the international break, Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley at Stamford Bridge as they failed to extend their lead at the top of the English top flight.

Since the Foxes were crowned Premier League champions back in 2016, they haven’t had a great record against the west London club, losing to Chelsea seven times in 14 matches across all competitions.

Though, Leicester under Brendan Rodgers beat them last season at home in the league and then in the FA Cup final a few months ago.

If Chelsea seal a win tomorrow, they’ll be six points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

Leicester sit in 12th spot and a win might move them up the table to the sixth spot ahead of English giants Manchester United.

Leicester won’t have the aid of midfielder Youri Tielemans as the midfielder will be absent due to injuries, and Chelsea also won’t be able to call on striker Romelu Lukaku, who coach Thomas Tuchel said is close to a return but will not be fit for this tie on Saturday.

Referee: Paul Tierney.

Saturday: 12.30 pm On BT Sport 1.

Venue: King Power Stadium.
