Alcantara hasn’t been able to find a regular starting place in Jurgen Klopp’s team due to injuries but he isn't looking to seek pastures new.
Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been impressive since he joined the Reds from Bayern Munich and has recently been linked with a transfer back to LaLiga giants Barcelona.
Thiago hasn’t been able to play week in week out at Anfield due to injuries and lack of form, but, the 30-year-old has been quick to pour cold water on the reports claiming he is keen to head back to the Camp Nou under new boss Xavi Hernandez, insisting that he is happy with life at Liverpool.
Speaking before the Champions League match against Porto, the Spaniard said: “100% I made the right choice to join Liverpool, the right move.
“As I always have been, I am a guy who plays football - I am not concerned about the rumours. I’m focused on the duty I have with my team and the years I have in contract with my team.”
Despite his struggle for consistency since he arrived at Anfield back in September 2020, he is keen to prove himself on Merseyside - adding that the Premier League is “the best in the world”.
“I just want to know about this new adventure that I have here in the Premier League and try to win all the trophies I can,” he said.
“And my commitment is maximum with this team, my commitment is much more.”
