Man Utd failed to close the gap on Chelsea who played out a 2-2 draw with Leicester City.
Luke Shaw was disappointed Manchester United didn't close the gap on fourth placed Chelsea after playing out a goalless draw with Wolverhampton on Saturday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils are still six points behind the west London club, who played out a 2-2 draw with Leicester City at the King Power stadium over the weekend.
“To be honest I’m really, really disappointed especially with the way the games have been going recently,” the England international told MUTV. “We haven’t been picking up too many points and today was massive for us with Chelsea dropping points.
“It seems to keep happening with teams around us dropping points and we don’t end up closing the gap and we are suffering from that. We needed to win.”
United's next match will be against Frank Lampard's Blues at Stamford Bridge after the break, and Shaw said of the match on the 17th of February: “With the break now we haven’t got a game so soon and that is quite annoying but we will have a little break and look forward to the big game when we get back.
“Maybe it is nice to have a break but on the other hand with how the game went today I would rather have a game around the corner so we can put things right because we need to.
“But that is not the case and we have this break and we will regroup and focus because it is not the end of the season yet.
“Chelsea is a massive game and one we seem to love playing in. We have played them a lot in the cups.
“We will have a few days off and then train very hard to get ready for that game because we know it is going to be tough. We want to close the gap and we need to beat them.”
