Aouar would reportedly cost more than £38m.
Lyon president has fuelled reports linking Aouar with a move to Arsenal.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says they will not stand in the way of Houssem Aouar if he is keen on plying his trade elsewhere.
The Ligue 1 side have revealed they will welcome bids for the midfielder in the next transfer window if he expresses a desire to leave the club.
A few clubs in the Premier League including Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the 21-year-old, who Olympique Lyonnais believe is worth more than £38m.
The French Under-21 international Aouar signed a five-year deal with Lyon in 2018 and is seen as a player with a bright future ahead of him.
"The player’s opinion is always essential. Keeping a player against their will is not reasonable,’ Aulas told the club website.
"Houssem has not expressed the desire to leave. Our will is to try to keep him even if the demands are high. There is no negotiation in progress."
