United and Marcus Rashford have delivered a positive update on the strikers back injury.
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been told he can now step up his rehabilitation after scans on his back were positive.
The England forward was impressive for the Red Devils until a back injury in January brought his form to a halt, and with the Premier League campaign suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 22-year-old has been slowly heading back to full fitness. A statement from Man United said: “The club can confirm that Marcus Rashford has been cleared to step up his rehabilitation programme following encouraging signs on his latest scans.
“His progress will continue to be monitored by the club’s medical team throughout the current lockdown period.”
Rashford was working with medical staff at United's Aon Training Complex before the coronavirus shutdown led him to continue his rehabilitation at home.
