Manchester United seal 3-0 win in their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata was happy with the way the Red Devils performed in their Carabao Cup win against Brighton on Wednesday night.
United thrashed the Seagulls 3-0 at the Amex Stadium, thanks to goals from midfield stars Scott McTominay, Mata, and Paul Pogba.
It was a different contest compared to United's 3-2 Premier League win against Brighton over the weekend with both sides making changes to their starting line up.
However, the Reds came out on top and, Mata who has now scored two in two starts for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side all be it in the Carabao Cup, said he feels good and still has 'a lot of football left in his legs and his 'mind'.
While speaking Sky Sports after the victory, the Spaniard said: "Another good night, I think we played good today. We knew they would play from the back. They try to play attractive football. They changed the system in the game, so you have to be alert. But we created chances and had more to kill the game."
Regarding the first goal he created, Mata said: "I tried to put the ball to the area where we bring two or three players to head. It was a great header by Scotty and important to score in the first half."
On his goal, the second of the game, Mata replied: "Very clever assist from Donny. He is a very clever player. He finds pockets of space and understands football in the way I like."
On the Carabao Cup competition, the former Valencia and Chelsea star added: "It means a trophy. We want to lift trophies for our fans. We want to do it again. We try to win every game. This is different this year with the early stage.
"I feel good physically and mentally and have a passion for the game. I have a lot of football left in my legs and my mind."
