Manchester City's defender John Stones will be sidelined until after the international break, as confirmed by manager Pep Guardiola.
The 29-year-old sustained a muscle injury during pre-season, causing him to miss City's first two Premier League matches and remain on the bench during their Super Cup victory.
Stones might not be available for England's Euro qualifier against Ukraine and a friendly match against Scotland next month, coinciding with the international break scheduled between September 4 and 12.
Additionally, he is set to miss Manchester City's upcoming Premier League games against Sheffield United on August 27 and Fulham on September 2.
Notably, the team is also dealing with the absence of key midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, who underwent surgery for a hamstring injury and could potentially be out of action for up to four months.
