Dean Henderson's displays have helped Chris Wilder’s newly-promoted stars edge closer to the Premier League's top four.

Manchester United haven't made up their mind on what to do regarding goalkeeper Dean Henderson. The Red Devils are not sure if they will extend the talented goalkeeper's loan deal at Sheffield United further or bring him back to Old Trafford. Who would have guessed that the 20-time champions and the Blades - who were promoted to the English top-flight last summer - will be vying for a Champions League spot this season and a potential £60m bonus? United currently sit in fifth spot, three points behind Frank Lampard's Blues while Chris Wilder's side sit in 7th position - two points behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's boys - in the league table, wow!, a scenario which looked impossible at the start of the 2019-20 campaign last August. Henderson has been on loan with Sheffield United since the beginning of the 2018/19 season, when the South Yorkshire club were still in the Championship, and has had an exceptional time at Bramall Lane.

The 23-year-old has continued his fine form from the Championship into the Premier League this season, summing up a total of 10 ten clean sheets as well as earning a call-up to Gareth Southgate's England squad before COVID-19 brought football to a standstill.

Discussions are still going on as to whether the Premier League will resume next month, and it is believed officials at Sheffield United are eager to know if they can extend Henderson's year-long loan before it expires on June 30. However, reports say United have delayed on a decision to date, until a revised calendar of fixtures is agreed by the football authorities.
