Marcus Rashford has offered an encouraging update from Manchester United's 2024 tour in Los Angeles, where he is gearing up for his 10th season with the club. Fresh off winning the FA Cup in the 2023-24 season, Rashford is focused on building on that success.
During his time at the UCLA training facility, Rashford discussed the positive aspects of their sessions, despite the team's recent 2-1 loss to Arsenal. He also expressed his enjoyment of playing in front of international fans and shared personal insights, including his passion for puzzles and other sports. Rashford continues to aspire to win major trophies with United, reflecting on his childhood dreams and the high expectations for the upcoming season.
In an interview with MUTV, Rashford commented on the preseason: “It’s been good. I think training has been productive. Obviously, we were disappointed not to win the game against Arsenal, but we gained valuable minutes against strong opposition. We’re looking to improve and win more games moving forward. It’s always nice to return to UCLA; the facilities are excellent, and the time here flies by. It’s enjoyable to play in front of fans who don’t get to see us at Old Trafford regularly.”
On how he relaxes, the England international shared: “I like to do puzzles and play little games to stay activated during the season. I have a few puzzles at home waiting for me, including a challenging 3D one. It takes longer and can be frustrating, especially if my dog tries to eat the pieces!
"I’ve only completed one 3D puzzle so far—most of my puzzles are a thousand pieces or so. My mum once told me I had to finish a particularly tough one, and after about three weeks, I did.”
Despite his positive outlook, Rashford knows that the jury will be out on him as the new season begins, with high expectations following a less-than-stellar performance in the 2023-24 campaign.
