Brighton's Moises Caicedo has finished his medical exam as the 21-year-old edges closer to a £115 million transfer move to Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports, the Ecuadorian midfielder is on the verge of becoming a Chelsea player for a British record fee, plus potential add-ons.
Despite Liverpool's £111 million bid being accepted by the Seagulls, Caicedo opted for Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues. This follows multiple offers from Chelsea, gradually increasing from £80 million.
Chelsea's previous British record transfer was £106 million which was paid for Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in January.
It is believed that Caicedo, who was signed by Brighton for £4.5 million from Independiente del Valle in 2021, is poised to ink an eight-year deal with the West London side.
During his time at Brighton, Caicedo showcased his talent in 53 appearances, with 45 of those in the Premier League.
