Paul Scholes Tips Arsenal to Win the 2024-25 Premier League Title

Man United Legend Paul Scholes Believes Arsenal Are the Team to Win the 2024-25 Premier League Title

Paul Scholes, who won several league titles with Manchester United during his illustrious career, has expressed his belief that Arsenal are poised to win the 2024-25 Premier League title.

Speaking ahead of the new season, Scholes highlighted the astounding progress the Gunners have made under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, positioning them as serious contenders for the championship.

Despite Manchester City’s dominance in recent years, winning the last four Premier League titles, Scholes suggests that Arsenal now have the edge to break the cycle.

He pointed out the Gunners’ close finishes in recent seasons and their strategic acquisitions, including defender Riccardo Calafiori and making David Raya’s loan move permanent, as key factors in their potential success.

'I think the Premier League favourites will be the same as last year. I think City will be favourites, closely followed by Arsenal,' the former England midfielder told beIN Sports.

'I have said a few times that I expect Arsenal to be the team to win it this year. I think they've progressed over the last couple of years with Mikel Arteta especially. I just think this year is the time when they're ready to win it.

'It's never going to be easy, there's going to be a lot of competition. We know the top seven or eight teams in England are good teams but I think this year Arsenal will be the team to break the City cycle.'

Scholes’ comments have added to the anticipation as the Premier League season kicks off on Friday night [August 16], with fans eager to see whether Arsenal can indeed end their two-decade-long title drought.

The competition promises to be fierce, but with Scholes backing them, Arsenal may just have what it takes to emerge victorious.
