Man City manager Pep Guardiola says a fitting tribute will be paid to Silva when fans return to the stadium.
The Spanish playmaker, who now has 121 assists in his City career, is set to leave the club at the end of the season after a decade of excellent service.
Pep Guardiola claims he has never seen anyone like David Silva.
The ex-Barca coach heaped praise on midfield maestro who is set to leave Man City at the end of the current campaign, adding that the 34-year-old can still play anywhere he wants.
Following Silva’s top class display in Manchester City's 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, Guardiola told BT Sports: "What we want is, when people come back to the Etihad Stadium, to do a farewell game for him, and to say hi to one of the legends of the club.
"When we need to play in small spaces he is maybe the best. Moving between the lines I have never seen someone like him.
"He came back from lockdown in incredible top form and with incredible rhythm. Of course, if he decides to play, he can play anywhere. There are no doubts about this."
