Postecoglou Frustrated as Spurs Held to 1-1 Draw by Leicester

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was left frustrated after his side's 1-1 draw with Leicester City on Monday night.

Pedro Porro opened the scoring in the 29th minute, giving Spurs a deserved lead after a dominant first half. However, the Lilywhites failed to capitalise on several clear-cut chances, allowing Jamie Vardy to equalise eight minutes into the second half.

Reflecting on the match, Postecoglou described the result as a "disappointing outcome," noting that his team lacked the cutting edge needed to secure victory. "We were very dominant in the first half but really wasteful in front of goal. We started the second half similarly," he told Sky Sports.

"But you know, at 1-0, there is always an opportunity for the opposition to come back into the game. That's what happened, and we lost our way for 15 or 20 minutes. We lost our composure, and the crowd got behind them, but again we finished strong."

Postecoglou also expressed his disappointment with the team's decision-making in the final third, adding, "We lacked some composure and didn't get the reward our football deserved."

On the subject of Bentancur, who was taken off on a stretcher following a head injury, Postecoglou provided a cautious update: "I don't have a lot of information, but I know he is up and communicating, so he's fine from that point of view.

"But obviously, it is a head injury, and I'll leave it in the hands of the medical team. The key thing is that he's definitely conscious and communicating."
