Timo Werner Transfer To Liverpool Continues To Be A Hot Topic. RB Leipzig hitman Timo Werner has increased speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool by admitting he would rather join a club abroad than sign for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The 23-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to Anfield and has finally broken his silence on reports linking him with a move away from the Red Bull Arena. The Leipzig star has been in fine form this season, scoring a total of 21 goals in 25 league appearances. "Bayern are a great club, we don't need to talk about it, and Hansi Flick has proven this season he is a really good head coach," Werner told Bild.

More: Hamann expresses his concerns over Liverpool's potential move for Werner. "But if a move were to become an issue at some point, I would be more tempted by a move abroad than a move to Bayern.

"It's just that the challenge of another league would appeal to me a little more than a move within the Bundesliga. "It’s also important that mutual respect is there as much as possible. That's why I chose RB Leipzig at the time, and why I would choose the club for [the] next step as one where I would get that feeling."
