Bruno Fernandes scored twice as Man Utd hit four past LaLiga club Sociedad in the Europa League.
Real Sociedad 0-4 Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted Manchester United deserved the victory over Real Sociedad on Thursday evening.
The Premier League club were below par in the first half but eventually hit four past Sociedad as they put one foot in the next round of the Europa League.
Bruno Fernandes continued his fine form as he scored a brace on Thursday night, with Marcus Rashford and Daniel James also hitting the target in Turin ahead of the return leg at Old Trafford next week.
The clash couldn’t take place in Spain due to travel restrictions hence why it was played in Italy.
However, Solskjær was pleased with the win, adding that they are still 'a work in progress'.
The Norwegian told BT Sport: "We scored some good goals and played some nice football. We deserved to win but maybe not by four goals. On a night like this when we find spaces, we can be a dangerous team.
"We had to defend well, they have some terrific players up front and we earned the right to counter-attack quickly. They opened up and we got the spaces we wanted.
"Every team attacks you, it's about finding the moments to find the space. We are a work in progress, we are learning and some games we have not been able to win lately."
United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who has now registered 21 goals in all competitions this season, said he is keen to do his job and win trophies with the Old Trafford club.
He told BT Sport: "The result is pleasing, we want to win games. We did everything well. Still, we have a tough game to play at home.
"We know 4-0 is a good result but we have to be aware of what they can do.
"I'll give Daniel James an assist for the second goal but he was trying to control it.
"My target is to score the most goals I can, that is my position. The only target is to win trophies."
