Rodri was pleased with his goal: "Very happy because the goal was a beauty."
Manchester City star Rodri heaped praise on his side’s 3-0 victory against Everton on Sunday, saying “we are outstanding right now.”
Pep Guardiola’s boys were clinical against the Toffees as Raheem Sterling, Rodri, and Bernardo Silva found the net at the Etihad.
The win moved City to second spot, three points behind table-toppers Chelsea.
It was the perfect result City needed ahead of their Champions League group-stage clash against Ligue 1 club Paris St-Germain on Wednesday.
However, midfield ace Rodri believes the City fans are beginning to realise how good they are at the moment.
‘We are outstanding right now.’
The 25-year-old told Sky Sports: "It's always difficult after the international break. The crowd realised how good we are at this moment of the season. I think we are outstanding right now.
"Of course very happy with my goal, I don't score many. Many times I don't have the opportunity to shoot as I pass, but at that moment I felt it, kind of a rocket.
"Very happy because the goal was a beauty."
On Raheem Sterling opening the scoring, he said: "A special day for everyone. It has not been a good time for him but he showed his personality today. He has been such an important player for the club the last years.
"We need him. I am very glad and happy for him. He deserved this. He trained so well this week."
