Bruno Fernandes has lifted the mood at Man United, according to Red Devils legend Ryan Giggs.
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has lauded midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes, saying the Portugal international has lifted everyone at Old Trafford.
Fernandes, who completed a move from Sporting CP to United in the January transfer window, has had a positive impact on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, and he found the net for the third time on the trot in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.
Giggs has been impressed with Fernandes’ display so far and believes United’s new recruit will continue to get better.
"He's a fantastic player. He's lifted the place, he has lifted everyone around him and it's still early days," Giggs, who won 13 Premier League titles at Old Trafford, told Sky Sports News.
"I still think he can get even better.
"He's hit the ground running which is what you want – especially [after] signing in the January Transfer Window [because] it doesn't always happen.
"But he's fantastic and I'm pleased to see him doing so well."
Man United are back in action against Derby County in the FA Cup on Thursday night, with Wayne Rooney set to play against his former club.
