Lingard “looking really sharp and focused” head of his return to the United first team this weekend.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not sure what the future holds for Jesse Lingard at Manchester United.
Lingard's current deal at Old Trafford is set to expire next year, but United have the option to extend a year further.
The Red Devils boss, however, said the England international is “looking really sharp and focused” in training.
"He has come back after the lockdown with a smile on his face and loads of energy," Solskjaer said when asked about Lingard as the Metro quoted.
"Last week he fell ill for a couple of days but we have done all the tests and he’s fine.
“He will be involved against Norwich now.
Solskjear said: “Hopefully he can kick on. He has scored vital goals for us and has been a vital player for us. Let’s see what the future will hold. At the moment he is looking really sharp and focused."
The Norwegian also reserved praise for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, adding that he realised the right-back’s ”true quality“ last season when he played for Crystal Palace against Manchester City.
Solskjaer said: “You saw an exceptional defender when I watched him last season. He had a couple of games against Sane with Man City, and you think, ‘Wow he is so hard to go past.’"
United travel to Carrow Road on Saturday with Solskjaer’s boys keen to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
