Lewandowski has been linked with a move to Real Madrid previously but is in his sixth season at Bayern.
Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez has hailed striker Robert Lewandowski, labelling the Poland international an "animal" and the best no.9 in world football.
The former Athletic Bilbao defensive midfielder says he was never worried about Lewandowski leaving the Allianz Arena.
Lewandowski, 31, has always been linked with a move to LaLiga giants Real Madrid but continues to ply his trade with the Bundesliga champions.
"He is in the best year of his career," the midfielder Martinez, who has won seven top-flight titles and a Champions League with the German giants, told Marca.
"He is an animal, the best nine in the world. Keep it that way until August."
When asked if he was ever bothered about Lewandowski heading to the Santiago Bernabeu, Martinez replied: "Not fear, because great players have left Bayern and they have always replaced them well.
"It is clear that it would have been a great loss, but it didn't happen."
