Victor Lindelof reflects on Manchester United's display against Wolverhampton.

  • The Swede reacts to Man United's defensive display.

  • Lindelof says his new team-mate Bruno Fernandes has settled into his new surroundings in such a short period of time.

Victor Lindelof praised Manchester United's defensive performance in their goalless draw with Wolverhampton over the weekend.

The Red Devils kept a clean sheet [their third in row] against Nuno Espirito Santo's Wolves at Old Trafford, but failed to close the gap on fourth placed Chelsea, who played out a 2-2 draw with Leicester City over the weekend.

While speaking to MUTV after the match, the Sweden international reflected on his solid display at the back that included Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

“Obviously, we wanted to win and get the three points, so it's a bit frustrating, but, overall, I thought we controlled the game well and they didn't create a lot of chances, and we kept another clean sheet. So we want to create a little bit more up front and to score a goal, but yeah, it is what it is.”

On Bruno Fernandes - who made his United debut on Saturday following his switch from Sporting Lisbon last week, Lindelof said: “It's not easy to come in here.

“I think he's had one training session, so to come in and play is not easy, but I think he did a good job and showed what kind of qualities he can give us. Hopefully now when we have the break he can train a bit more with the team, get to know all the players and then I think it's going to be much easier for him.”
