Wan-Bissaka to West Ham as United Land De Ligt and Mazraoui

Manchester United Defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka Set for £15M Move to West Ham as United Secure De Ligt and Mazraoui

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is poised to complete a £15 million transfer to West Ham United, with final details being ironed out in the coming days.

The Manchester United defender will undergo a medical at West Ham and, pending the results, will finalise his move to the London Stadium.

This transfer is part of Manchester United's broader strategy to reinvest in their squad, using the funds from Wan-Bissaka’s departure to secure key targets from Bayern Munich.

With just one year remaining on his current contract, Wan-Bissaka is set to receive a pay-off from United, compensating for the decrease in salary he will experience at his new club.

Although negotiations over personal terms were initially challenging, they have recently progressed, bringing an end to his five-year stint with the Old Trafford club. During his tenure, Wan-Bissaka made 190 appearances and scored two goals following his £50 million transfer from Crystal Palace in 2019.

Wan-Bissaka’s exit has opened the door for United to act quickly in the transfer market. They have already agreed to a £17 million deal for Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui, who will step in as Wan-Bissaka’s replacement.

Mazraoui, a versatile defender, who previously played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, will join United for £13 million upfront with an additional £4 million in bonuses based on performance.

Additionally, the Red Devils United have finalised terms to acquire Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich. The agreement includes a £38 million initial fee with a potential £5 million in add-ons, bringing the total to around £43 million.

De Ligt, a highly sought-after talent and the Netherlands international, will sign a five-year contract with an option for an extra year. His arrival is expected to bolster United’s defensive lineup significantly.

This transfer activity underscores a transformative summer for West Ham, who have also brought in players like Max Kilman, Niclas Füllkrug, and Crysencio Summerville in a flurry of signings totaling over £100 million. New manager Julen Lopetegui’s overhaul of his squad highlights West Ham’s ambition for the season ahead.

As Man United gear up for the new Premier League season, the additions of de Ligt and Mazraoui are seen as strategic moves to enhance their defensive strength and support Erik ten Hag’s vision for the club.
