Goals from Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones, Nathan Ake and a brace from Kevin De Bruyne was enough to run down the West Yorkshire club at the Etihad.

Owen Hargreaves has labelled Manchester City the best side in the Premier League after their 7-0 thrashing of Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The Premier League defending champions moved four points clear of Liverpool in second and five ahead of Chelsea in third after sending Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites to school at the Etihad.

Goals from Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones, Nathan Ake and a brace from Kevin De Bruyne meant Man City also hit and then passed the 500 league goals mark under Pep Guardiola in just 207 games.

However, ex-Man United and Man City midfielder Hargreaves said the Cityzens are “getting better and better” and it’ll be difficult for Liverpool and Chelsea to beat them to the Premier League title this season.

'Manchester City were unbelievable. They move the ball better than anybody in the Premier League,' Hargreaves told BT Sport.

'They moved it as good as you could possibly move the ball. There was no wasted touches, everything had a purpose and they were clinical in front of goal.

'Pep always talks about both boxes. In the opposition box they were brilliant and clinical. There are so many world-class players.

'We said before the game this [season so far] is all without Kevin De Bruyne, and if he gets fit and starts firing, then good luck to everybody else.

'It wasn't a fair fight, I'll be honest with you. It was such a mismatch it was unbelievable. Credit Man City, that is the best team in the Premier League right now.'

When quizzed if he would like to have played in this side, Hargreaves replied: 'That is hard to play like they do, pass and move. Everybody plays one and two touch and all the players interchange.

'Today it was so fluid and perfect. I have seen pretty much every game of theirs this season, but they seem to be getting better and better with every game.

'When they are clinical like that... good luck to everyone else.

'To think City can be top without a centre-forward, pretty much, and without one of the best players in the Premier League [De Bruyne] and still dominate like they have... it blows you away how many good attacking options they have.

'Raheem Sterling didn't even get a kick today and Ferran Torres is still to come back. These guys are breathtaking to watch.'
